Sourwood honey is one of the rarest varietal honeys in North America.

Honeybees collect nectar during the brief summer bloom of the Sourwood trees that grow throughout the Southern Appalachian Mountains. When weather, bloom, and timing come together, the result is a harvest treasured by beekeepers and sought after by honey lovers around the world.

Exceptionally clear with a light golden straw color, Sourwood offers delicate notes of warm cinnamon pastry, buttery caramel, and a refined maple finish that lingers gently on the palate. Its smooth, elegant flavor has earned recognition in international honey competitions and remains one of the South's most celebrated flavors.

Enjoy it simply by the spoonful, paired with aged cheeses or warm sourdough where its true character can shine. Sourwood is exceptionally delicious in an Old Fashion or drizzled over cheesecake.

Produced in partnership with fellow beekeeper Mike Keeley and his happy bees in Little Switzerland, North Carolina. Every jar reflects our shared commitment to healthy bees, thoughtful stewardship, and the extraordinary landscapes that make this honey possible.
