About the Collection

The Wax & Wayne series forms the second era of Brandon Sanderson's Mistborn saga. The story moves from the world of the original trilogy into a more technologically developing Scadrial, where magic exists alongside railroads, electric lighting, industry and modern political institutions.

The Alloy of Law introduces Waxillium Ladrian, a Twinborn lawman who returns from the Roughs to the city of Elendel, where he becomes involved in a series of dangerous investigations.

Shadows of Self continues Wax and Wayne's adventures as they investigate crimes connected to political and religious tensions in Elendel.

The Bands of Mourning sends Wax and his companions in search of legendary metalminds said to contain the powers of the Lord Ruler, while the mysterious organization known as the Set remains a growing threat.

The Lost Metal brings the Wax & Wayne storyline to its conclusion, completing the four-book second era of the Mistborn series.
