About the Collection

Created by Kohei Horikoshi, My Hero Academia is a superhero manga set in a world where most people are born with special abilities known as Quirks.

The story follows Izuku Midoriya, a boy who dreams of becoming a hero despite being born without a Quirk. His life changes when he encounters the legendary hero All Might and gains the opportunity to attend U.A. High School, where aspiring heroes train for their future careers.

This box set covers the first 20 volumes of the main manga, making it an excellent way to begin the series in publication order. VIZ identifies the collection as Box Set 1 rather than a complete series collection.
