The poetry in Poems for Gardeners is inspired by the ever popular pastime of gardening and being in nature. Whether it's a gift for a keen gardener in your life, or a source of inspiration for your own garden, there is something for everyone in this lovely anthology.

These beautiful books make perfect gifts or a treat for any book lover. This edition is compiled by Gaby Morgan, Publisher and anthologist with an introduction by Alice Vincent.

The book follows the pattern of the gardening year and is divided into sections; Spring when green shoots start to appear, Summer when plants grown in earnest and then high Summer with sultry days and warm nights. Then comes Autumn and Winter when the year ends with frost and bare branches.

Filled to the brim with classic poetry there are poems about birds, plants, trees, flowers, weeds, bugs and butterflies, weather and wildlife from poets such as William Wordsworth, D. H. Lawrence, Thomas Hardy, Walt Whitman and Emily Dickinson.
